General Information

Stainless Steel is not a single specific material, but a group of corrosion-resistant steels containing a variety of elements. Blackburns Metals Limited offers three classes of Stainless Steel:

• Martenistic
• Ferritic
• Austenitic

Our nationwide distribution centres stock a complete range including Plate, Sheet, Coil, Angles, Flat & Round Bar, Tube, Pipe and Fittings.

Plate is the term Blackburns Metals Limited use to describe flat products over 3mm thick, which is supplied in a range of hot & cold rolled, annealed and pickled conditions.

Sheet, Strip & Coil refers to flat products with a thickness of 3mm and below, supplied in a range of cold rolled conditions and surface finishes.

Bar & Section describes round, square, flat, hexagon and angled stainless steel. Other profiles/shapes are available on request.

Tubular products are offered in a wide range of seamless and welded forms.
